A pursuit in Hartlepool went off road around Oakesway Industrial Estate when the driver realised he wasnt going to outrun Cleveland and Durham Road Policing officers The driver took serious measures to avoid capture, using a grassy knoll as a ramp. This caused the van to quite literally fly through the air before gravity reminded the driver where vehicles are meant to be! The driver and passenger quickly abandoned the damaged van, before being pursued and sadly lost on foot in the central estate. Police dog Gunner was on hand to search the vehicle, indicating recent drug use on board.
