A pursuit of the black Vauxhall Vectra in Hartlepool lead to the arrest of the driver on suspicion of dangerous driving, no insurance and drug driving after providing positive readings for cocaine and cannabis. The vehicle had been seen in suspicious circumstances earlier in the night and police were alerted by a concerned member of the public. Thank you! The Citroen C2 was also pursued in Hartlepool after it was linked to incidents in the Billingham area. When the vehicle was abandoned the passenger was quickly detained after a short foot chase through fields. With assistance of PD Elsa and new dog PD Titan, the driver gave himself up after hiding in long grass. NPAS Newcastle also assisted in the search. Pic Cleveland and Durham RPU
