Appeal after Alleged Incident in Anchor Retail Park Police are appealing for witnesses to an incide - Monday 15 May 2017

Appeal after Alleged Incident in Anchor Retail Park Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident which is reported to have taken place in Anchor Retail Park in Hartlepool. A woman and her daughter were in their navy Renault Megane at around 3.15pm on Sunday 7th May when a man in a white taxi allegedly approached them. He is then said to have brandished a metal bar while shouting aggressively at the woman. An elderly lady attempted to calm the situation and we would appeal directly to her to contact us as she may have information which could help our inquiries. A 41 year old man was arrested on suspicion of harassment, on suspicion of affray and on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and he was released from custody while inquiries continue.
