Appeal after Collision Involving Scooter and Car, Hartlepool Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision involving a scooter and a Skoda Octavia in Hartlepool. The collision happened just before midnight on Wednesday 5th July, at the traffic light junction of Jesmond Road and Chester Road. A 23yearold male who was travelling on the scooter suffered multiple fractures to his arm and a 16yearold male also travelling on the scooter suffered a dislocated elbow and a head injury. Both were taken to James Cook University Hospital where they remain whilst receiving treatment. A 19yearold woman and a 24yearold woman from the Skoda Octavia suffered minor injuries. Neither of the women were detained in hospital. Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact PC Lee Benson from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the nonemergency number 101, quoting event number 118624.
