Appeal for information on fire at Rift House Primary School Inquiries into the fire at Rift House P - Monday 08 May 2017

Appeal for information on fire at Rift House Primary School Inquiries into the fire at Rift House Primary School are continuing today, with police and fire brigade conducting a joint investigation. The school suffered extensive damage in the fire which started around 6pm yesterday (Sunday 7th May) and which required a large scale response from emergency services and the local authority. Acting Detective Inspector Chris Stoddart said The damage caused will mean great inconvenience to the school and is likely to bring huge repair costs. I would appeal to anyone who saw anyone in or around the school yesterday afternoon, or anyone who has information which could help identify the person or people responsible for the fire to contact Cleveland Police on 101. Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers via their website at www.crimestoppersuk.org or by phoning them on 0800 555 111. We are following up various pieces on information passed to police and the person or people responsible should think about coming forward before we knock on their door. Pic Kim Winspear
