Cannabis Farm Hartlepool A suspected cannabis farm estimated to be worth in excess of 400,000 has been discovered in a Hartlepool property. Neighbourhood police officers discovered the largescale industrial size farm when attending the address following a call from the landlord about a possible breakin. 476 plants in various stages of growth have been seized by police officers, including other electrical equipment used to grow the farm. Officers are investigating and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward. PC Simon Lowther from the neighbourhood policing team said This farm is a significant find, with plants grown across five rooms within the property. The electricity was being bypassed at the address and the wires and equipment meant that it was only a matter of time before it caused a fire. Our communities want us to work to tackle drugs on the streets, and we work on intelligence from local people to assist us in our operations. I would urge anyone who has information on drug dealing or drug use in their neighbourhood to contact us. Anyone with information can call the confidential drugs hotline on 0800 0929 702.
