COLD CALLERS Recently there has been an increase in Cold Callers targeting houses in the area. Please be aware of any suspicious characters that turn up at your door offering their services for things such as building work, gardening or any oddjobs. These Cold Callers will charge an extortionate rate for little to no work and will make off with your money. They may also offer household products for sale at ridiculous prices and some people may hand over money just so they are left alone. Occasionally, these individuals will look for sympathy and will gladly take advantage of a persons good nature as another way of securing money. If in doubt, politely refuse and ring the Police immediately. If you see anything that arouses suspicion, please do not hesitate to contact the Police. These people may potentially target your friends, family and neighbours. They are less likely to return to an area they have been unsuccessful in!
