Come on Hartlepool, Dig Deep and lets help someome who has helped a lot of people!! Stephen Picton is very well known throughout the UK especially right here in our town. He has touched the lifes of so many familys through years of dedication to fundraising. Stephen uses his own time, money and taxi to drive throughout the UK to raise funds for, sick children, sports programmes, community centres, etc. He is also very well known for his fundraising campaign to help little bradley lowery and setting up a major event in hartlepool splash for cash. More recently was yesterday when Stephen headed straight to Manchester in his taxi and spent the whole day there bringing people back to the northeast and throughout Lancashire after the recent terror act at the Manchester music venue with no payment from all the people he got home safe. Christopher, who organised this says Stephen makes me proud to be from hartlepool and paves the way for others to follow in his foot steps been an exceptional figure in our local community. Stephen relies on his taxi to collect donations, get to and from news broadcasts, radio stations, organised events to raise funds etc but unfourtanetly Stephens taxi is getting old and unreliable costing more to maintain. Our way of saying thanks me and Mark Johnston from Mark Johnstons flooring in hartlepool have decided to raise enough to buy him a new car along with the help of his best friend another well known fundraising campaigner lee willmot. Its not just a car this really is an asset to Stephen to keep doing what he does best, changing lifes touching hearts. The figure I have set on go fund me is low, not enough to buy a brand new fundraising taxi for him but its a start, along with a few other ideas I have planned sponsors etc we should get there in no time. When you see this Stephen dont be mad (lol) you deserve some think back and we all know it will benefit hundreds of others and there lifes as well as anythink else.
