Community Cohesion Officers from Hartlepool Borough Council have joined forces with Hartlepool College of Further Education to stage a Christmas fair at the college tomorrow from 26pm. Local residents are invited to attend and take part in a range of festive activities. There will be a wide range of craft stalls, including homemade cards, fudge, jewellery, knitted goods, painted glass and Christmas decorations. There will be arts and crafts activities for children delivered by the Early Years students at the college. Pupils from Ward Jackson Primary School, Eldon Grove Academy and St John Vianney Primary School will be singing Christmas carols from 23pm. Santa will be in his grotto and catering students at the college will be providing hot chocolate and hot food, as well as selling Christmas goodies. A variety of cakes and desserts that would traditionally be made for celebration events in India, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Nigeria and the UK will also be showcased at the event. The fair is being staged in aid of the domestic abuse charity Harbour and Hartlepool Foodbank.
