Drivers and pedestrians are being warned to take great care when travelling along the A178 Coronation Drive in Seaton Carew. Exceptionally strong winds are continuing to blow in off the sea and the wind is also driving massive amounts of sand onto the road and pavements. Hartlepool Borough Councils cleansing teams are working continuously to keep the road open, but please proceed with caution if you are in this area.
