Early morning callout for Hartlepool Coastguard Rescue Team with a casualty rescued from the water on the headland. CALLOUT 06517 @ 0355 Paged by Humber CGOC to reports of a person in the water on the Headland. Upon arrival made contact with Cleveland Police and located a person in the water next to the Heugh breakwater. CROs equipped themselves with water rescue equipment and waded across the water to the rocks and stabilised the casualty. With difficult conditions the casualty was placed into a stretcher and carried across the water to the waiting paramedics. Hartlepool RNLI were standing by providing safety cover. Seaham Coastguard Cleveland Fire Brigade UK NPAS Newcastle NEAS S5B S5C were also there. 07AH
