Free swims scheme success as over 4,000 children participate in first ten days A COUNCILRUN free swimming scheme for local youngsters during the summer holidays is continuing to be a huge success. In the first ten days of the scheme, 4,409 Hartlepool children under the age of 16 and 829 adults visited the towns Mill House Leisure Centre an increase of 47 on last years figures. The scheme operates on weekdays between 10am to 1.30pm until Friday 1 September, excluding Bank Holiday Monday (28 August). (More info bus timetables in the comments)
