How fantastic is this? A number of yarn pieces have been put up around the Heugh Battery to commemorate 100 years since the Armistice. We have poppy nets cascading down bank at Heugh Battery along with A single poppy made up of 100 individual woollen poppies, each symbolising a year since the Armistice on the Heugh Battery fence, poppys on the Headland cannon, Andy Capp and around the pillars in St Marys Church. Fantastic work by the ladies at Heugh Yarners in the community!!
