Inbox.. Scam Call.. I was at my elderly dads earlier and his house phone rang I answered it and it was talktalk who provide his telephone and internet they explained to me that they needed to put security software onto his computer and asked me to switch on laptop and follow a number of instructions they then said he was due a refund of 200 for not receiving the security software from the beginning of his contract. They then asked me to click on his bank branch from one of the icons on screen on doing so it brought the internet banking up for his bank they asked me to put his online banking details in and I declined the woman got very annoyed with me started saying its the only way they can give refund I said send cheque and the windows started closing down on screen I then sat and watched as the password and pin where changed on the laptop right in front of my eyes she then asked me to sign into the laptop I said I cant you need to give me the password and pin as you have just changed it to which she replied well sign into online banking and Ill give you it. I put phone down took a note of the number and rang police its now in hands of fraud dep we can no longer get into laptop please share and warn people of this scam.
