Injured or retired, and keen on a comeback? WALKING football sessions in Hartlepool are an ideal op - Friday 23 June 2017
By Hartlepool Alert

Injured or retired, and keen on a comeback? WALKING football sessions in Hartlepool are an ideal opportunity for injured and retired players to make a comeback by taking part in a more sedate form of the game! They are open to both male and female players aged 16 and over and no previous experience is required. The sessions at Brierton Sports Centre are run by Hartlepool Councils Sport and Physical Activity Team. One session takes place in the sports hall on Mondays from 23pm, while another is held outside on the 3G pitch on Fridays, again from 23pm. Walking football is a slowpaced version of the beautiful game which aims to get players back involved in the sport. It aims to help people maintain an active lifestyle long after their time in competitive football has come to an end and is also a chance for people to get back playing where they have had to stop due to injury. Each session costs 2 per person. For more information contact the Sport and Physical Activity Team on (01429) 284050 or spat@hartlepool.gov.uk
