Police are warning of a scam circulating where a caller purports to be

Internet Communications Scam Police are warning of a scam circulating where a caller purports to be from BT Open Reach stating they have contacted the victim by telephone as they are conducting checks on poor internet connections. They ask for a remote connection to the victims computer and ask them to log into their router. They then say they are running some tests and say the victim is owed a refund due to poor internet service and get the victim to log into their online banking in order to make the payment but then take out cash. Please be aware of this scam to gain access to bank details.
