Man Charged after Alleged Robbery at Hartlepool Lifestyle Express Store A 29 year old man has been charged with a number of offences after police received a report of a robbery at a shop on Rossmere Way yesterday (just before 9.30am on Monday 29th July) The same man was then said to have fled in a vehicle which was subsequently reported stolen. Inquiries to trace the man began immediately and just before 12.40pm a detective spotted someone who matched the alleged suspects description. He was arrested, detained overnight and charged this morning (Tuesday 30th July) with robbery, possession of a bladed article, taking a vehicle without the owners consent (TWOC) and other driving offences. The man is due to appear at Teesside Remand Court this afternoon. Any witnesses to the alleged incident are asked to contact Cleveland Police via the 101 number, quoting Event 128854.
