Only four days until the #Hartlepool Waterfront Festival is here! Weve got a fun packed day of music

Only four days until the #Hartlepool Waterfront Festival is here! Weve got a fun packed day of music, art, street theatre, waterbased activities, cinema, fairground rides and much more between 12 noon and 10pm! Saturday 2 September 12 noon until 10pm From Noon, the Waterfront Festival kicks off with a daylong programme of arts, music and entertainment, as well as some family favourites. Through the day, the main stage will host dance and musical acts from across the region as well as family favourites, Cook and Line from CBeebies, before being played out by Im A Celeb Star Jake Quickenden. Weve feasted our way across the Tees Valley food scene to put together a Street Food market with some hidden surprises. Youre also invited to the equally spectacular Art Garden, with local living legend Bobzilla spraying up a storm and Stuart Langley driving his Wheels of Industry into town, among many others. The daytime also sees a minitakeover by some of the UKs finest fishiest street theatre including a 5 metre tall lobster! 12pm 5pm. Due to overwhelming demand, weve called up Mickey and the team and managed to secure the rights to the Classic film, The Little Mermaid. The movie starts just after 5pm, so bring your chair, blanket or cushion and get settled in before we go under the sea. At 7pm, the outdoor cinema takes pride of place as we screen Spielbergs masterpiece Jaws as chosen by the people of Hartlepool, with our Street Food market running well into the evening. Dont forget to bring a deckchair! And be ready to join us shortly after 9pm, as Hartlepool turns their eyes to the water to witness the wonder of the Whale, a mechanical whale that has made its home in Hartlepool Marina, in an installation on a scale the North East has never seen! Visit www.destinationhartlepool.com for the latest information. Disclaimer Performances are subject to change and may be cancelled due to extreme weather. Attendees are advised to wear appropriate footwear and bring their own chairsblankets as the ground is uneven.
