Our gritting teams are working around the clock to treat the towns roads and keep traffic moving. We would encourage drivers to take extra care on the roads during this period of extreme weather. All primary roads are currently passable with care with the exception of Greatham High Street Dalton Back Lane from the crossroads to Mayfield House (which is accessible from the A19) Drivers are advised that Elwick Road at the Devils Elbow is passable with care.
