Our major transformation of Church Square is really taking shape now, with the planting of new trees

Our major transformation of Church Square is really taking shape now, with the planting of new trees. Encircling the new central event space will be ornamental pear trees (which dont bear fruit), while the wider landscaping in the Square will feature maples and alders plus two oaks. The project to revitalise Church Square is funded by the Tees Valley Combined Authority, the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Council. Please dont forget while the work is being carried out, Hartlepool Art Gallery and its cafe and all the shops and businesses in the Church Square area remain open as usual.
