PARENTS feeling the pressure of childcare durin

Outstanding Oscars to host open evening for parents PARENTS feeling the pressure of childcare during the summer holidays are invited to attend an Oscars opening evening on Tuesday 27th June from 6pm to 7pm to find out more about their summer programme. The Councilrun childcare service hailed as outstanding by Ofsted offers a full holiday programme packed with educational and fun activities for children aged 3 16. Oscars, based at Rossmere Youth Centre, welcomes parents to the open evening for the chance to speak to staff, look around the centre, and learn more about what the service has to offer. During the summer holidays, parents are able drop off their children from 8.00am with breakfast provided for them on arrival. They then embark on an actionpacked day of fun and thrills prior to being collected by parents by 5.45pm. Oscars, which has been running for 20 years, provides an after school childcare service and also operates during school holidays. The summer holiday programme will run from Monday 24th July to Monday 4th September 2017. Sandra Robinson, the Councils Out of School Coordinator, said If parents have to juggle working and looking after their children during the summer holidays, Oscars could be just the answer. Our open evening will give parents the chance to have an informal chat with our staff members who will answer any questions they may have, as well as find out about the funfilled programme of events. Programmes and booking forms will be available. For further details email sandra.robinson@hartlepool.gov.uk or call 07771 936968.
