Please be aware Hartlepool Trading Standards have received a report of residents in the Hartlepool area being approached by men driving work vans. The men are approaching residents in the street and offering to sell generators for a fraction of the alleged retail price. The men reportedly speak with Irish accents and state they are from Dublin. Please be vigilant if you, or someone you know, are approached in the street by anybody offering to sell goods. If you buy goods in the street, you may later find that they are misdescribed or unfit for their purpose but you may not have any comeback as the trader is gone.
