Please note from the 1st November 2018 until 31st March 2019 the opening times at the Household Waste Recycling Centre on Burn Road will be as follows 9am12pm then 1pm4pm (The site will be closed daily between 12pm and 1pm) You can dispose of all of your general household waste at the site, including garden waste, wood and timber, cardboard, plastic, scrap metal, small and large appliances, mattresses and clothing. You can also dispose of nonhousehold (DIY) waste, such as plate glass, hardcore and rubble (including ceramic bathroom units), soil, plasterboard, asbestos and tyres, However these are chargeable items.
