Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision involving a pedestrian and a lorry, whereby the pe

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision involving a pedestrian and a lorry, whereby the pedestrian sadly died. The collision happened at around 10.50am on Tuesday 16th July on the A19 southbound near to the A1027 overbridge. No formal identification has taken place as yet, however, the pedestrian is believed to be a male aged in his forties. Officers would appeal to any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to come forward, aswell as anyone who may have dash cam footage of the incident or anyone who may have seen the manner of driving of the lorry prior to the collision. Any witnesses are asked to contact PC Andy Lawson from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the nonemergency number 101, quoting event number 120452.
