Police are reappealing for witnesses to come forward following a serious collision on Skelton Street - Monday 22 May 2017

Police are reappealing for witnesses to come forward following a serious collision on Skelton Street in Hartlepool on Monday 15th May at 345pm. The collision reportedly involved a blue Ford Focus and three pedestrians. A 12yearold girl received minor injuries, a second 12yearold girl was taken to North Tees Hospital with a suspected broken leg and an 11yearold girl was taken to James Cook University Hospital by air ambulance with serious head injuries. A 46 year old man was arrested in connection with the collision and has been released with no bail conditions pending further enquiries. The 11 year old girl who sustained serious head injuries still remains in hospital and she is in a stable condition. Any witnesses who may have seen the collision are asked to contact PC Andrew Lawson from the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit on the nonemergency number 101, quoting event number 084689.
