Several road closures in place today due to the carnival parade.. High Street will be CLOSED from now until 5.30pm Durham Street Northgate will be COSED from 3pm Till 5.30pm Thorpe Street, Marine drive and Sea view terrace will remain open throughout the day. Hartlepool Carnival are asking people please make provisions for parking before the closure. As this is a huge logistical closure could we ask people not to park within parade route and help the closure run smoothly. Following the parade the closure will remain on DURHAM STREET. Northgate from the bottom of HIGH street and bottom exit road will be opened first, this will allow traffic to filter from the moor down to the front and on to Northgate and also parade Traffic. After which DURHAM STREET closure will be open. This will eliviate a grid lock situation happening and again your co operation will be greatly appreciated.
