Sporting event at Central Library PEOPLE across Hartlepool have the opportunity to hear about the career of a retired cricketer next week (Thursday 18 May). Andy Holland who played for Hartlepool Cricket Club between 1979 and 2003 will be talking about a number of the memorable matches he played in and some of the well known players he came across. The Central Health Activities Thursday (CHAT) event starts at Hartlepool Central Library at 2pm. Jacky Johnson, a Library Officer at Hartlepool Borough Council, said CHAT is an adult activity group which holds a variety of events and Andys talk will be the first sporting themed event. at previous CHAT events people have said how much they would like to attend this type of event so we have responded by organising Andys talk. It doesnt stop there, on August 17th Ken Lupton will deliver a talk about Burn Road Harriers and Chris McLoughlin will also be talking about rugby in Hartlepool on November 16th.
