Temporary part road closure to allow for wall repairs Drivers are advised that the section of Hartlepools Church Street between Whitby Street and the entrance to Church Square will be closed to traffic from Monday 19 to Wednesday 21 November. This temporary closure is to enable repairs to be made to the traffic island wall at the top of Church Street (surrounding the Ward Jackson monument) because a section of the wall was recently demolished in a traffic accident. A signposted diversion will be in place along Whitby Street, Huckelhoven Way and Tower Street. Pedestrian access will be maintained. Hartlepool Borough council apologise for any inconvenience which may be caused.
