The Councils conversion of the former Post Office building in Whitby Street into The BIS a new centre to encourage business startups in the creative industries sector is gradually taking shape, including the erection of a new, large extension at the rear of the building. Once completed, the centre will include 28 studio units of various sizes for businesses, including a mix of workshops and office space. The conversion is funded by the Tees Valley Combined Authority and the Council.
