The Hartlepool Community Safety Team has received a number of reports of breakins involving caravans

The Hartlepool Community Safety Team has received a number of reports of breakins involving caravans parked on residential driveways, resulting in the theft of items stored inside. With many owners thinking about bringing their caravans home for the winter, we would remind them to ensure their caravans are locked and that no valuable items are stored inside. We would also advise owners to regularly check their vehicles as some thefts have gone unnoticed for periods of time. They should also consider fitting their caravans with suitable wheel and hitch locks and an alarm.
