The Hartlepool Food Network exists to provide emergency help to people in crisis by distributing surplus food donated by supermarkets that would otherwise go to landfill. Jonathan Gibson, Chair of the network and Community Development Officer with the Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust, explains how it works.
