The Hartlepool Neighbourhood Police Team are appealing for witnesses to an incident which occurred at approximately 140pm on Thornhill Gardens near to the junction of Chester Road as pictured. An elderly gentleman was knocked from his pushbike by a vehicle and sustained injuries which required treatment at hospital. The vehicle involved left the scene without stopping. There were various other vehicles in the vicinity at the time. If you saw anything or have dashcam footage from the area please contact police on 101 and quote event number SE18116425.
