Warning against cold callers Officers are investigating a report that two white men, aged between 18 and 20, have been knocking on doors selling household products and asking for money. Police received a number of reports that the men were targeting the Tweed Walk area between 4pm and 5.30pm on Tuesday (December 18). People are reminded to be wary of who they open the door to and to not feel pressurised to buy things from doortodoor sellers who may be trying to establish a way to enter your property or where valuables are kept. Anyone with information which could help police is asked to call 101. Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers at www.crimestoppersuk.org or by phoning them on 0800 555 111.
