We have been asked what is being done to tackle crime in Hartlepool. Alistair Simpson from Cleveland Police says a targeted approach is taken with resources targeted to hot spot areas which are regularly reviewed. Basic crime prevention measures are usually the most effective lock your doors and windows at home and ensure vehicles are always secure and dont leave valuables on display in vehicles. In light of the current adverse weather, never leave your car unattended with its engine running while you deice the windows
