WEST VIEW UPDATE At around 1609 Hartlepool Coastguard Rescue Team were page by Humber Coastguard to search for a missing person after belongings were found close to the beach. They conducted a searched along with Seaham Coastguard , Cleveland Police, both lifeboats from Hartlepool RNLI NPAS Newcastle along with their senior Costal Operations officers from both Whitby and Hartlepool. After searching the area and nothing found they were all stood down. Just after arriving back at the station they were contacted again to say someone was seen on the top of Steetley Pier, Searches were again conducted by coastguards and colleagues from other agencies including Police Air support and Cleveland Fire Service.
