Yet again people are setting of flares in the Hordon area causing Hartlepool Coastguard Rescue Team to have to go out and search. If anyone has any info on who is setting them of please call 999 and tell the police. CALLOUT 22817 @ 1858 Paged by Humber CGOC to search again in the Hordon point area due to red flares having being set of again in that area. Upon arrival at Hordon more flares were set of and witnessed by Seaham Coastguard and could be seen to be in land and not on the coast. Happy that there were no vessels in danger in the area we were stood down and returned to station. S5B was also on scene to assist PLEASE REMEMBER RED FLARES ARE NOT FIREWORKS HOWEVER BRIGHT AND COLOURFUL THEY MAY LOOK IN THE SKY. 07AH
