I appreciate the aims of this group are largely specific in relation to the return of services to the hospital. However, in the opinion of many the devolution deal forced through by labour this Thursday has killed off any remaining hopes of a full return of services. Granted blue light services are not YET covered in the devolution deal, but it is only a matter of time before they are. In the fullness of time, the chances are either one hospital in Tees Valley will be significantly upgraded, OR a brand new one will be built. Either the chances of it being at the far north end (Hartlepool) of a city (Tees Valley) are slim to none. Members, I hope I have your trust. Ive spoken at your rallys, marched on your march, donated money and time where I can. The situation has now gone BEYOND politics and national political affiliation. The bottom line now, is we need this man voted out of his Foggy Furze seat in May 2016. Members interested in helping in a coordinated effort to achieve this goal are welcome to get in contact with us. This is not about our group (Putting Hartlepool First). This is about pulling together the 2 save the hospital groups, greens, even UKIP. Whatever it takes to get this man out. Hartlepool is dying and will continue to die under his leadership. Thank you for reading this. Interested parties please get in touch. Thanks Councillor David Riddle
