Shortly before an election, the people of Hartlepool were promised a multi million pound development - Friday 06 October 2017
By Putting Hartlepool First

Shortly before an election, the people of Hartlepool were promised a multi million pound development on the site of the Jacksons Landing retail building. It was to have a luxury hotel, water sports facilities and even a giant Ferris Wheel to rival the London eye. At the time Putting Hartlepool First and independent councillors pointed out the Labour dominated council had no funding for the project, no investment partners and no real plan other than a drawing. Over 1.5 million was spent on the project using borrowed money. Jacksons Landing itself ended up fro sale on ebay.
